....Further Opening Times Confirmed

The General Committee of Hartlepool Cricket Club would like to thank all those who visited the Cricket Club on “Super Saturday” and “Windy Sunday”. The re-opening of the Clubhouse, following the imposed period of lockdown due to Coronavirus, was a success. Thank you for following the social distancing requirements and the additional measures that the Club has put in place in order to safeguard the health of staff and visitors. A special mention goes to all of the staff who worked so hard across the weekend. Thank you for your hard work and for helping to keep our visitors safe!

In terms of moving forward, the General Committee has agreed that a “slowly, slowly approach” is probably the best way of providing a good and efficient service, whilst also safeguarding the health of staff and visitors. The existing safeguards and requirements that were put in place, per the Government’s guidelines, to enable the Cricket Club to re-open will remain in place until further notice. Please see the previous article about this, including the need to be a paid-up member of the Cricket Club to access the premises.

Last weekend we were able to screen “live football”, although this was done with no sound. Those watching the games did so in accordance with the guidelines.

The following opening hours have been put in place for the lounge and bar, :-

Thursday : 7pm to 10pm : unfortunately, no Quiz at this stage, but this is being reviewed;
Friday : 5pm to 10pm;
Saturday : 3pm to 10pm; and
Sunday : 12noon to 8pm.

Hopefully, this weekend will see some good weather. A “Can Bar”, (competitively priced!), will be in operation on Saturday and Sunday between 4pm and 7pm.

With cricket matches set to begin over the weekend of the 18th and 19th July, 2020, the General Committee looks forward to your visits over the coming weeks. As the “new norm” falls into place, it’s hoped you will enjoy your visits to Park Drive.
