Tuesday, 7th January, 2025 sees the return of the Junior Section’s Cricket Reception Tots. This programme is designed for those children who are in the reception school year on, or after September, 2024. It was first run in 2024, with excellent attendance levels recorded.

The indoor sessions, which commence on Tuesday in the sports hall at English Martys School and Sixth Form College, run from 5pm to 6pm. Attendees are required to use the car park adjacent to the main road. Future sessions are being held on : 14th, 21st and 28th January, 2025 and 4th and 11th February, 2025.

Outdoor sessions for the Cricket Reception Tots will be held at Park Drive on a Friday during the Summer months.

There is a £2.00 charge for the indoor sessions. There are no charges for the outdoor sessions.

The purpose of the Cricket Reception Tots is to introduce reception age children to cricket, with the emphasis being on fun and developing hand-eye coordination skills.

In order to attend the sessions a parent, or carer is required to attend the sessions to support and accompany their child. They will undertake the cricket skills too, so appropriate clothing to be worn! All equipment will be provided at the sessions. The attending children will need to bring a drink.

The Registration Evening for those children participating in the Cricket Reception Tots is taking place at Hartlepool Cricket Club on Tuesday, 21st January, 2025 : 6pm to 8pm.
