The Under 9s is the next age group up from the Monkeys and All Stars Cricket. Initially, players will play cricket using a softball. The aim of their training sessions will be skill development to enable them to make the transition to hardball cricket. The lead Coach is Mick Draper.
Although the Under 9s don’t take place in any formal league cricket, they do play friendly matches and compete in Softball Tournaments across the Summer, such as the Under 9s Softball Tournament that is held at Park Drive.
During the Summer months of April to September training takes place on a Friday evening at Park Drive from 5pm to 6pm. During January and March, indoor training takes place at High Tunstall College of Science.
If your son, or daughter is interested in playing cricket at Under 9 level, then please contact Mick on 07890386819, or drapermick@hotmail.co.uk
